About the Exhibition
Local artist and gallery owner Timothy Johnston is known for his large-scale aerial abstract paintings of the ocean.
His signature works of Balmoral and its surrounding bays have been collected both locally and internationally.
In this exhibition, Timothy captures the beauty of Balmoral through rich layers of colour and texture, offering a new perspective on these iconic bays. Experience the
movement, light, and energy of the coastline brought to life on canvas at the ‘Balmoral Beauty’ Exhibition.
About the Artist
Timothy is an established Australian Artist sharing time between Sydney and Los Angeles with his Gallery in Mosman since July 2020. Timothy has co-exhibited with Valerie Taylor AM for their ‘Kingdom of Coral Exhibition’ at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and projected his artwork on the Sails of the Sydney Opera House in 2021. He has also
exhibited in NSW Parliament Fountain Court Gallery in 2024.

An Exhibition of recent Plein air Artwork produced in the landscape around the cliffs and high points at the entrance of the harbour, the beaches and also the bush.
Featuring paintings and drawings of between the heads, the Manly ferry and Dobroyd Bombora. The relationship between the water currents, swell, wind, watercraft and sea life.The movement and marks made.
It also features work done at the beaches and bush: Balmoral, Freshwater, Dee Why point, Crescent head and Western NSW. The surfers, the swimmers, the waves and weather events. The immense energy of the ocean, the silent power of the land and how life interacts with it.
